Works In Progress Showcase!
This section will be allotted for all projects that are not yet complete, but I am still proud of, and possibly seeking constructive critique on. Sometimes, these works
take so long that I don't actually complete them either, so I would leave a picture up here to show how far I got.
Today, July 29th, 2011, the work in progress picture(s) on showcase have been updated below.
Charcoal drawings usually take about 5-6 hours, but the good ones I am actually proud of usually take about 15-20+ hours. As for drawings, I become afraid of smudging them,
because they are usually more delicate, and thus usually spend less time on them.
First stages of my Basshunter picture. I used the reference below this picture in order to capture the DJ's image, and drew the girl dancing with him at a club out of my imagination. This will hopefully eventually become
one of my "masterpiece" pictures, maybe even a drool-worthy poster for my room, haha. Did this at work while calling poor souls to do surveys over the phone at the survey center (as usual). So far about an hour or two's work has
gone into this picture, and it is the first page of my new, somewhat larger art tablet.
Reference picture for the above drawing.
Golden Retriever Puppies! Obviously not done, but it's hard to get back in the groove of finishing drawings sometimes. Used two reference pictures from google,
about 6+hours of time, and tons of varying ranges of pencils, mostly on the 4H light side first. Received the drawing note pad and pencils from my friend's mum for Christmas!
