Our company uses Microsoft Access to keep records of our customer and supplier database. Each customer who has made purchases in our store, is in our Access database. We store costumer data such as name, address, credit card information, amount owed, purchase history, and amount of spending. For our dance suppliers, we keep track of which shoes, clothing, or accessories we order from which supplier. For example, we may carry Grisko dance shoes but not Grisko tights or hair acessories. Keeping track of customer information through Access benefits the customer because it makes their shopping experience easier. If someone needs a new pair of shoes, but does not have time to visit our store, we can ship the shoes to that customer and know the right size because we have that information stored in the database. By keeping track of how much money one spends, we can reward those high status customers with discounts. For every $300 that a costumer spends, they will be given a 35% discount on their next purchase. These tasks could not be possible without using Microsoft Acess.
